Welcome, I'm glad you're here!
You may be wondering what "numb society" means, and what constitutes an unpopular opinion. Great question! I'll start with this...
*DISCLAIMER*
This blog WILL offend you if:
- You watch television religiously, and believe that the news stations are infallible and always tell the truth.
- You trust that the government has the best interests of its citizens in mind.
- Your political views are "all or nothing". i.e. you support the liberal or conservative party, and will defend what they support, and denounce what they disagree with.
- You aren't able to read and consider an opposing viewpoint in full without exhibiting an immediate emotional response.
- You believe that our society is moving in the "right direction".
- You think that questioning official, well-known sources and their motives is ridiculous and unnecessary.
- You take people at their word, and will believe what they say about themselves versus what their actions may say about them.
- You've never entertained the thought "What if I'm being lied to?".
Alright, now that we've got that out of the way...
Numb
Adjective,
1.
deprived of physical sensation or the ability to move
2. incapable of action or of feeling emotion
3. lacking or deficient in emotion or feeling; indifferent.
Synonym: desensitized
A "numb society" is a place where questions go unanswered, challengers are ostracized, and acceptance is mandatory. It's here that words speak louder than actions, somehow.
You may be thinking "What is this loon rambling on about? Of course we have the freedom to choose what we believe!".
But do we really?
How much of public opinion is actually just well-crafted, hidden propaganda, aimed to increase this herd mentality we are witnessing today? I'm here to show you, gradually, that things aren't always what they seem to be. By learning to look a little deeper, think a little harder, and by simply asking "why?", we can uncover the truth.
